I am in a very competitive industry, a few former employees left our company and started a blog specifically to cause trouble and grief for us. This blog has caused trouble with a lot of our customers as these guys are leaking documents, telling false stories etc.

Their listing ranks just below ours on Google Search for our company.

Is there a way this listing can be moved down or reverse SEO'ed ?

Yes its Possible to do..You need to create Some Different sites with good reviews of your company and then boost them up with good seo services

Am the one among them! I provide reputation management service.. Add me on Skype, if you're interested..

There are some reputation management specialists on BHW that may help you.

If this is a very serious problem for your company then you need an expert reputation management consultant.

Thank you all for the quick responses,

I will certainly try the approach you recommended here.

Does anyone know how long it takes generally to get something onto page one for a keyword with a three words and one of them is not a dictionary word and is uncommon ? ( I know this may be an impoissible one to answer but just thought to ask anyway)

If you are an SEO person and you would like to take this on, please send me your skype details, for some reason, my account wont let me send mesages directly.

I have a budget and ready to begin immediately, would need to prove that you have got stuff to page one before or that you can help get me the results i need

Anyone have experience to remove the ripoffreport permanently, because its rank on first page below my client website on main keyword. Or any idea to get him down with negative SEO or else?

I've seen this question a couple of times and generally the answer I find is "No but if you can push enough links higher than RipOffReport" I've also seen a couple of discussions regarding negative SEO because the victim can just use google's disavow link to partially recover from the negative SEO campaign.

its all about pushing it down. I find it super easy if its a persons name. Brand names I found to be a little harder.

Ripoffreport is tricky but get your company's Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc etc etc and some web 2.0s and submit great reviews on other review sites. Just push the bad blog out of the top ten.

Or run 1 million Xrumer links on the blog with porn/rape keywords.

I'm sure I have posted somewhere about the pitfalls of negative seo actually making the troublesome result more sticky and thus harder to move, avoid that route.

Interestingly as an ORMer this is a case I'd refer instead to a law firm: assuming you and your company are legit and the grief and info by the disgruntled employees is false you should have a very good case as well as damages.

Employees have restrictive covenants in their contracts of employment and these guys have just violated theirs.

Your lawyer will write a cease and desist letter in the first place to the right person the right law firm will know what I mean by this.

The leaking of privileged damages is grounds for suing.

False stories is grounds for libel and defamation.

Meaning you will be able to receive compensation and more than likely ruin their online and offline rep meaning for them to even function as a competitor in the same market just became 100 times harder.

Therefore you've destroyed the competition and their rep at the same time: two birds with one stone again this based on assuming all you have said above is the full story.

ORM and law have very close ties, you need to know which moves are better and in this case I think the above is the route to go actually.

You will however need to ensure that they are worth the hassle i.e if they have no revenue assets or money then even if you sue you may not get anything other than that they are forever indebted to you.

In addition the time you should bring an ORMer into play is if they decide to fight back as well in court and you know its going to be lengthy process then ORM will keep the serps clean while proceedings are underway and assuming you win the case I imagine court documents and perhaps even ''after the event'' media attention will help cement all the work of ORM.

Do not go for during the event media attention that will just bring unwanted attention to a case that is still 50/50, also you may not get to court the situation might be settled via Alternative Dispute Resolution.

This is potentially a quite interesting case do let us know how you get on.
