Hello everyone, its my first dispute post ... so please bear with me if I dont know the "correct way to write this all"

Anyways, long story short, I was scammed by @EyeBeholder . He promised to sell me targeted leads at 4$ per lead generated through Google Ads etc. I sent him 50$ to test his service and he was to deliver me 12 leads in that price. He was reluctant at first on 100$ minimum but I negotiated and given the fact that he is a Jr. VIP in this forum I naturally trusted him.
I am attaching telegram's long chat with him that I exported in a html file.
Plus some screenshots that I later captured in case he deletes the chat. I waited for a long time to give him "time" so that he has no excuse left.

What happened to the world lol

Jrvip scamming for 50$

its above me why there is no escrow system especially for crypto transactions... For a fixed fee, trusted members from the forum should be available to volunteer as escrow.
I have scammed twice by a Jr VIP members in this forum, First was @Jurong (400$) and now @EyeBeholder (50$)

When?

Nothing stops you from using an external escrow service. No reputable member would risk their reputation by holding money in a dispute between two members because they'll end up getting shitlisted by the member who lost the dispute they managed.

Does a mall have an escrow system?

How about Amazon?

Etsy?

Ebay?

You can always use escrow.com or some other outside entity such as that if escrow is something you desire.
you are right, they dont and people do get scammed there, but they have their own refund system for atleast some of the purchases, I understand on forums such as this one, its impossible to have such a feature... that is why its a suggestion to atleast give people this option so that volunteers can come forward and facilitate members with transactions,
obviously I mean no disrespect to the respected community in suggesting my opinion :)

BHW is not part of the transaction between 2 parties on the forum. It doesn't hold or even charge the money so they can't refund you.

agreed, I suggested crypto transactions which are final once made... I completely understand the complications this might bring as well.
So, my next suggestion is that post some fixed goods/services for which bhw supports escrows which are easy to manage.
The issue with external escrows is that scammer will always find a way to dodge this bullet as they will say they dont trust any external service which they allegedly never heard about and people like me (Newbies) are left without any option than to trust these guys and be a victim

Enough people decide they they only buy services through escrow or reversible payment methods, and sellers won't have a choice.

neither it should be, but two parties (seller and buyer) who met on this forum should have something they can hold on to in their favor like trusting a middleman. This is very tough is implement I understand but without it scammers have a very free hand in carrying out their operations successfully without any serious implications... i mean he would have made atleast thrice the price he paid this forum to be a Jr. Vip by just scamming people...

I hope one day democracy will prevail, but this aint an ideal world we live in... and people like me will keep on falling for the badges and trophies one might own and trust them in the process... I hope things get better and hopefully there will be no scammers in the world

Watch out if someone is asking you to go on Telegram + Pay in crypto. Also watch out if they're members with no reputation like the guy you got scammed by, alas it's 50$ hopefully this makes you learn a lesson. Also, never trust anyone on internet, no admins/mods are here liable if you get scammed, it's all on you.

I see your point, but you can choose who to do business with. 3 years on the forum with 1k messages, for examples.

Avoid crypto, or raise your requirement from sellers.
I never once paid here with crypto and I can count on one hand (one finger, actually) the times it prevented me from buying a service that I needed.

Escrow system?
Volunteers? I don't think it's going to happen. Imagine that a scammer makes an escrow for $10K, first he receives your money and also the product, and then he scams both, so what next?

I also don't think that any member wants to accept this responsibility because he would be in the middle of everything, and he can also be banned for the same thing.

An escrow service receives the money, but the product is sent directly from the seller to the buyer. Once the buyer confirms, the funds are released to the seller.
Why would the escrow receive the product?
