- Dispute Summary:
- There's a lot of screenshots, so I've tried my best to keep this brief. I was contacted by CurlyMohawk (Benjamin) to develop a Pinterest web app, and while things started well, their communication became increasingly slow, with weeks-long gaps in responses. They cited personal issues and travel as reasons for delays, but eventually lost interest in the project. Toward the end, there is evidence suggesting they deliberately rotated the secret key needed to access the pinterest API, in order to jeopardize the project and prevent paying us more for it, causing unnecessary technical issues and preventing progress. As a result, the project was left incomplete despite my efforts to continue.
- Evidence of the Issue: attached
- What you hope to gain from this Dispute Resolution: Additional payment for the work done.
- (Optional) Additional Information: (If you need to go over the issue in more detail, please use this section to describe it)
We initially agreed to work on a Pinterest bot project, and overall, he was a pleasure to work with in the beginning. However, over time, the response times became increasingly delayed. There were instances where he claimed personal bereavement or travel commitments as reasons for the delay.
Despite these setbacks, I attempted to continue working with them. However, there were consistent gaps of many days, sometimes even weeks, between responses, which severely hindered the progress of the project.
He did eventually pay the original amount in full for the project, but due to the workload, we agreed to more after completion. I've had people test the app and show that it works exactly as intended.
Toward the latter stages of our collaboration, he seemed to lose interest in the project entirely. Despite requests to proceed, there was minimal engagement, and ultimately, the project remained incomplete. He is dishonest.
There is evidence to suggest that Benjamin jeopardized the secret key which was needy to connect to the Pinterest api on the back-end , by rotating it without noticing us, deliberately, leading to significant complications and delays. This action appeared to be an attempt to derail the project, carelessly forcing us into a cycle of troubleshooting instead of advancing.
This has been a long time pending, and I am aware he is not very active on here. I am making this to make it harder for him to repeat this behavior.
