I've recently gotten into selling steam keys for profit. I've made a few sales and I want to grow with it and start getting a bigger stock. This question is really more about preference I guess but what is a good amount of profit to aim for? (I mean like spending $10 to resell for $20) I know It wouldn't be worth it to spend $50 on a game only to get $5 in profit but to any other resellers what kind of profit do you tend to aim for?

Having done this in the past I would suggest looking into humblebundles, they usually give the best resale value.

Why would people buy steam keys off you instead of buying them straight from steam?

There's loads of sites; G2A, kinguin, allkeyshop, OKS, HRK, CDkeys for example where you can buy discounted steam games

Hi, there have been bundles in the past containing Rust and Project Cars for $4.00, you can sell either of those games for 6 or 9 dollars on g2a right now. Most bundles have smaller margins, in the 20-25% but can go up to 50-60% depending on the popularity of the game. It's better to sell those games after the bundle deal is over. Another thing to keep in mind is that humblebundle limits bundle sales to between 2 or 4 bundles per creditcard or paypal account. You can use virtual creditcard services like uquid to mitigate that problem.

It's absolutely doable to make a few hundred bucks a month on the side:

I cannot insert links, it's humblebundle dot com.

another good source is isthereanydeal dot com.

Would you say about $700-$1,000 a month is doable with a decent inventory?

How do you even keep yourself safe from that? Just a word of caution, watch out. G2A and ebay can get chargebacks very easily. Even after 6 months of orders

Buy first or listing first, wait for client payment then we buy the key?

When you sell the game you need to input the key in order to post it on most sites. There are a few where you can give yourself 1 or 2 days to respond after they purchase but I'd imagine most people would only go with instant delivery

Yes, it's feasible but not fun without some form of automation. Most of the work is going to be opening mails, retrieving the game keys, copying them into g2a. You will want to use a bot (look into python / selenium) to do most of that.

would you mind going into a bit more detail with this? the way i've been doing it is comparing other similar sites and looking for the most profit but it sounds like you know a better way. i'm really interested in learning more
