We have developed a method to get these removed from the first page. We don't charge anything until the report is gone. PM me if you are interested.

I also have a site I need some reputation repair... pm me if you want to do it and your price

I think if your going to attempt to do this your self you need to look at the "cold stone" example. Its going to take more than just some blogger accounts and squidoo lens' in my opinion. Think....aged domains, wikipedia, paid articles on high authority news sites.

Make it look natural and respond to what have they have to say. Get some good content and build away them links.. One would work as well but why take the chance.

I have just decided to go teh following route:

buy 50 aged domains
put up wordpress
upload a free theme

put up some content ( spinned)
I will be blasting these domains with bookmarks and scrapebox

lets see

I would recommend you go the web 2.0/article route that other recommended. By having, say, an article on Ezine or, as mentioned, a Wikipedia entry, it is already on an authority site and thus will take way less work (and more importantly time) to rank it up there.

Starting brand new sites on new domains is going to take a whole lot more effort IMO then slapping 15-20 web 2.0s up and just blasting at them.

Do you have a solid strategy?
I see you at least know not to comment on these pages as it only makes the rank stronger....

Can you email or PM me please. I would like to discuss. Have multiple clients that could use your efforts

Build in some high quality links if you really want to dominate the SERPs.

Which if thats the service you are providing you'll need to do. Be sure to have the domains on separate hosting accounts as well.

Google's not gonna give you the front page if the sites are all hosted on the same IP. So be sure to diversify.

Again though, build out some higher quality links. Scrapebox and XR spam likely won't do it.

Ha, good luck with that. Some of those techniques use to work before panda. And a few of those tactics would only work on extremely low PR sites but if you have negative links from sites like ripoff reports, complaintboards or even some disgruntled person's blog with a decent page rank, you need to a lot more than the suggestions posted above.

We've been doing reputation management full time for over 4 years now and I wish it was that easy. To do it yourself you'll have to brush up on your seo, then you need to multiply it by 10.

I would stop "rippoffing" people.

That's the best way!

Sue them. A good reputation management company Should handle this. It's not about SEO, its about actually managing reputation. If someone makes a claim on somewhere like RipOffReport that can directly hurt your credibility and your business then they should be able to prove their claim. RipOffReport is also to blame for not having a system in place to verify information that they are willing to publish to the public.

The process is 10 times easier and cheaper than you think. All of my cases were always settled out of court, and removing the claim was always a part of the settlement.

And if you read up on them, you'll also see that as long as they themselves didn't publish the negative post, they're not held responsible. Plus what If the negative claim is true?

You do realize that on many occasions companies do screw up and it ain't slander if its true. And no court is going to hear a suit about a true statement about a customer's negative experience when they patronized the company in question. But you shouldn't have to pay forever for a mistake, mishap or whatever so that why many of our clients hire us.

And, its 100% about SEO when you're actually performing reputation management.

So again, good luck with that.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone specialized in reputation management, that could help me for a client reputation on Google. Willing to pay of course :)
Please PM your rates!

Best.

1.) Do not ever respond to the complaint. ROR is indexed insanely quickly and responses just add to their unique content. Those sites are SEO'd out the butt and posting on there is a trap!

2.) Don't use your own expired domains and WP blogs unless they're relevant? What's worse? Having your SERPs flooded with complaints. Or having your SERPs flooded with spammy looking WP blogs on irrelevant domain names? Keep it all about the company and do it with 2.0 sites. You can rank these easier than you can a separate domain. Especially for specific keywords!

3.) No offense to him, but foreclosureking sounds silly.. "None of that stuff works! You'll never get rid of the complaints no matter what you do, courts will never hear your case, hire me!!"

A few things further about this stuff....

1.) That stuff does work because these sites are not magical. It's just like outranking any other website, there's nothing special about them and they don't get preference from Google over any other site on the internet. Don't buy into many reputation management company's hypy BS that they're going to be doing something special for you and there's nothing you can do about it yourself unless you're some type of SEO doctor. Again, that's BS and if you pay attention, they all sing the same song. It's basically a free meal for them, reputation management is not any more difficult than any other SEO campaign, but the cost is quadrupled.

2.) A court most definitely will hear a case about a true statement. You're talking about civil court, I can sue you for anything on God's green Earth that I want to and the courts will listen. Plus, if you don't show up or respond in a proper manner (according to local court rules), I win by default!! That's the point of civil court. A cease and desist from a lawyer can work wonders here also, you don't even have to follow through with it, but the threat of being dragged through court, costing $10,000+ and taking a year to win is enough to get most people to stop. Even here on BHW, go and look how many people will bend to a C&D even if they know they're right.

However, unlike eBayMafia said, it would not be on them to prove truth. It would be on you, as the plaintiff, to prove what they said false. The burden of proof is on the accuser.

3.) The level of difficulty depends, like anything else in SEO, the keyword! The reason they rank so well is simple onsite SEO, proper use of keywords/tags, text formatting, etc. Not because they're magic, they just appear as extremely relevant to Google. So pretty much any linking campaign will boost them hugely, because like I've been saying to people for years... The amount of backlinks you need is directly related to the quality of your onsite SEO. If your onsite is crap, you will be building 10X more links than me if my onsite is 10X better than yours.

Anyways, don't read into a lot of the BS that surrounds reputation management. It's just another SEO campaign with even easier keywords to rank. Basically, if somebody ends their sentence with "hire me" or "contact me for a quote," take what they say with a grain of salt. Because I'm not sure if you've ever priced reputation management.. It's highway robbery. :)
