Renew Webhosting, We lose information or not?

Dear All,
I have a question to ask you.
When we have to renew web hosting and renew domain name, we lose data (like: Post, Photos, or some information....) or not lose? I using namecheap webhosting and Godady for Domain name.

The only thing you may loose is SSL certificate which would need to be reissued. Of course the rest remains active .

everything remains as it is if you renew before expiry

Usually the answer is no. Just to renew you will not loose anything. The only way you would loose your data is if you did not renew in time and the host closed your account out and then you came back and paid. Your data would be gone at that point unless the host had a backup.

Yes, you can lost data. Depends from how long you didn't pay.

I think that you can make a backup before it expires, and you won't lose it. That is what a friend of mine did at least. Not sure if he took other steps so don't quote me on it.
