Removing fake instagram account

I need help removing a fake Instagram account. The account in question already has two strikes against it (post & profile pic removed via legal request) but account name and bio still exist and are defamatory to my client.

Currently the account is >1 year old. It has zero posts and zero followers. We have contacted Instagram through a lawyer, but IG will not remove the account.

My primary concern is that you know how to do this correctly. Doing it incorrectly (e.g. pace/quality) can make it harder to remove in the future.
