Remove date

Hello I've changed the theme of my site wordpress so that the date doesn't show up in Google's serp. It is shown now for data_publisher 01 01 1970 for each article and the date has been removed from the Google serp. Could I have placement issues now? I've seen that wordpress plugins do the same thing . Any experience?

Removing dates from SERPs can impact click-through rates, as users may prefer fresh content. Its not a placement issue per se.
