Reminder: Change Your Passwords (Now and Often)

Thanks for that good information Sir. However the only problem having different passwords in various platforms might cause confusion. I mean, I usually forgot things so I keep my passwords same. But, I think I should do the same ways as you, it's better than suffering on the consequences. Maybe I'll just have to write down my passwords somewhere... right??
 
That's a very good advice! I was using to have same password everywhere and learned my lesson. On a forum my password was saved without any encription at all in their database. After that forum was hacked and all the database published on the Internet i had all my accounts related with my email address hacked. Now i am using Roboform which generates a strong password for each account. With all that i change my passwords once per month and i didn't had any problems since.
So change your passwords once per month and use a good antivirus.
 
All the password and usernames are saved on a text file on my comp. Although I haven't written the whole password on it. It is just for a hint.
 
I agree with this 100% and appreciate this thread as someone who is very much for security. I even have developed an iOS application that has yet to be published for this very thing :-)
 
thank you for the advice. But I am just curious , is it safe to use websites to come up with new passwords ? isn't it better and more safer to come up with a personal password your self?
 
I always update my password every month and add some security features like phone verification and other stuff to make it even more secure.

I personally use keepass, with the browser plugins for automating credential input. I disable the browser storage of logins, and run all portable apps inside a sandbox, stored within a truecrypt container. Using a password manager allows you to use ridiculously complex passwords without having to remember them, and helps prevent you from falling into the habit of using the same credentials for multiple sites. It's also damn handy when it comes to rerolling passwords on a regular basis.

what do you use for sandbox? i personally find sandboxee really annoying to use
 
Not sure what's wrong with the system But I just change my password last week and now the BHW system tells me its been 30 days and I need to change my password again, any one else having the same problem?

Reminder: change your password.
Very useful post any people.
Because of password is very sensitive matter.
so it will hack any time.so password change perhaps everyday ,every month,or every year etc...
