Sadly I think this type of activity is actually exactly the spirit of BHW. Finding small loopholes which allow you to advertise your site freely on other peoples websites.

yeh especially as bhw has strict rules about new
members having no sigs / no links in posts but
then you see there user name is something like
meds.com or blast.com they were examples
and we all no there done as a means for traffic.
so surley a user with there user name of there
website should be treated the same as a user
breaking the rule of advertising without a bst
or donor rank ?

ps no forgetting thoes who use there profile
location to paste there site in so it appears
on there posts...this doesnt matter for donors
but for regular members going for sales its just
a middle finger to the rules

I concur

perosnally I dont think its that bad. we all advertize our sites,but simply showing off a url is no ad in my point of view. or do they have any effect on your behaviour? do they tease you to buy or even only visit the site? in my view those people simply miss the chance to have nice and matching username, those links are even not clicklable. I never have been conviced to copy and paste such an url.
if such filter should apply, you also must apply it for the location field, which is shown in the postbit also.

Sorry, I find this post rather comical. Yeah, I get the idea, you don't mess with people where you live... But really?!? It is BHW, people will always try and find ways to game the system and get traffic, where they otherwise should not...

I mean no offense to you at all, but how is it possible anyone would get upset at people breaking the rules, when the site they are on is called "Black Hat" World?

I hope you don't get banned again, but if I were a moderator, I might be tempted.

Sounds to me like your asking for a ban and attempting to make a martyr out of yourself at the same time. Hope you got what you wanted. Enjoy your vacation.

You wait six months to gravedig your own thread, open your post by complaining about being banned six months ago, attempt to make some kind of point, and then finally infer that we don't do our job. Nice troll, unfortunately for you there is a price to pay. Let's put the cards on the table here, you didn't report jack until you were hit with a signature violation, like two years ago. After that you started reporting signatures every day, including some that are not violations, which we almost always respond to and clean up. Then, one night, we got flooded with reports from you about these supposed "violations". You were warned not to do that, and then you continued to do it anyway. Thus, you were banned for a short time. Yadda yadda glass houses.

We don't disallow people from using a domain name or email address as their forum nick. That's not against the rules, thus the inaction of staff in regards to that. Pretty simple concept, really.

Your other points, some of which actually harbor validity, are all easily addressed by using the report function. We rarely miss anything; if you don't see staff action taken it's usually because it's not an actual violation. When in doubt, contact a staff member directly.
