Regarding shitlist and scam

Hi..

Just quick question, is someone user on BHW do scam , he/she will get into shitlist..and then mod will call both victim and seller.

And then what, ..? Mod just banned the wrong user and what about if buyer already pay like $10K..

*seller will walk away with that amount of money

Mods do everything in their power to settle the situation in the light of the proofs presented to them. Mods can't force anyone directly to pay, they can however ban accounts and in many cases it's enough punishment for the scammer to give the money back. If a scammer doesn't value his/her BHW account and refuse to pay, not much can be done.

Which is why you should avoid trusting accounts that have like 17 posts (minimum to PM is 15 posts). The users who have accounts with 100+ posts, 60+ days age, and who have paid marketplace fees are generally trustworthy for the same reason (accounts more valuable).
 
Basically...yes. The mods are not a police force that go out and prosecute and recover your funds. The reality is that only action Mods are able to take is to ban the person and list them on the shitlist. This protects buyers whilst excluding those people from the benefit of having an account.

I'm honestly not sure what else the Mods could or should be expected to do.
 
Come on, take precautions to prevent such things from happening.

1) Pay via PayPal. Don't use the gift option
2) Buying 10k worth of services from a newbie without a BST? It's your fault the money got scammed.

Using common sense will typically weed out 99.9% of scams here.
 
Don' t always work like that , if your scammed of heigh money then the mods will advise you to get the law involved .

Paypal/credit card, fraud squad will get involved and fraud police .

The money will be frozen from the payment gateway that you report as fraud .

With all the evidence you give them, you should get your cash back hopefully .

Always pay with PayPal or a credit card to protect your self ...

Don' use bitcoin on a legit deal unless you no there worth using and there legit.

Never send cash .
 
80% of shitlists are from people who bought stuff from new members with 1-10 posts
crazy . 10 yrs ive never sold to a 1 post member or a new member
never been scammed on bhw in 10 yrs , theres something in that somewhere

Why would a newbie looking at shitlist rules so closely.

One thing I dislike about BHW is that people are always so skeptical. He is just asking a questiom related to the rules and you are suspecting him of scamming us here. Get a grip.

Not saying he bad or bad person just a weired newbie question.

If he was already buying and thort of buying bigger quantity of services then I'll understand the question ...

But asking such a vague question makes me wonder.....

Well here we have an option to get fair decision through MODS but its not through any freelancer website or paypal.
If you call paypal they never trust you with some proof or words also.
I never seen shitlist like here in BHW. I always get faith and good results not because of seller mode but i am honest with my work and provide proofs honestly. If you have then show to MOD it will come to your favor.
Also in paypal and freelancer they get paid for the work and here MODS doing as a volunteer without any payment. So respect there words and results as they are giving you results with efforts which is worthy.
