Hey, I need to buy a couple of domain names for affiliate purpose and I'm stuck on two things:

1) What TLD ranks good after .com? I was thinking about .info. How do .info domains rank in google?
2) What is the cheapest TLDs for affiliate marketing?

.io is just great, and it ranks so well in Google. Problem is that it's pretty expensive. Definitely worth it though. It has prestige in the tech world.

Oh alright. And I always thought .co is related to Colombia or something? It won't hurt with ranking up quickly in google, right?

How about .website and other similar ones?

It will just be review sites for products.

Basically Google itself says that they don't value domains by their domain endings (.com, .net, .de, jp - etc. ) So basically you would be able to rank any site with whatever domain ending it has, however if you are targetting for a certain country its better to go for country domains (ie : for germany you would go with .de, italy with .it and so on. I discovered that it just builds more trust to the user when a german person wants to visit a site that has a .de ending to it rather than a .com or .net or whatever.)

Depending on the niche you can go with any domains that you want, i wouldn't stick the brand new ones (like .ooo or similar) - They may sound cool but then again, if you really want to establish a business then i wouldnt count on those domain. OH yeah and don't take free domains like .tk or .ml - Because if your site gets a little bit of traffic then the hoster will eventually take over your site and put ads on it - Had this a ton of times with freenom in the past... .com and .net are still the best ones to go for.

As for SEO, it doesn't affect it.

Thanks for the detailed clarification. So, .website, .site, .info, .co doesn't matter, right?

And does it show that .co is Columbia based?

.net sounds better than .info . But .info can also be handy in some cases, so it depends on your project. Earlier godaddy used to have coupon for buying multiple domains together but I do not see anymore if it.

How will a product review site sound good with .net? Isn't net is for networking with a bunch of similar sites? org is for an organization?
Doesn't it work something like that?

You can use .net as an alternative extension. But I always prefer .com domain

First prefarence always .com you can also try .net .biz . In my personal openion don't for .info domain.

If you're not sure of the effect, try doing a 301 of a stable .com over to a new TLD.

In my experience, there has never been any change in the SERP whatsoever, though in a few niches I've had a significant traffic boost after switching to a niche-specific TLD.

Yes exactly. It doesn't matter. You might wanna do some research on domains before you buy them however. See, take .xyz as an example. No one rarely uses them anymore because back in the day (i don't know if still) they were cheap as fuck and because of this they were often abused as spam domains. Thats one of the reasons why you don't see a lot of .xyz domains (also its just not brandable in my opinion).

Not sure what you mean by the second question but .co sounds to me like a generic domain. If the domain stands for columbia then people might associate it with something for columbia/for columbia but again this just comes down to what you want to do with the domain.

I saw the Colombia thing from here: https://itxdesign.com/com-vs-co-which-domain-extension-should-i-use/
