I created a pet niche instagram account for the purpose of uploading content and growing the page organically.

Originally when I made the account, I recorded extremely low effort videos of my cat from my phone and uploaded them, and got around 1-2k views per reel. After applying other growth strategies it climbed to 80 followers after 6 reels. I then stopped using the account for a few months.

Now I have come back to the account, and upload cat-centric content to it, as it is a cat page. I scrape trending videos, clean meta-data, and re-upload with caption + hashtags. All of these reels peak at around 40 views each.

Then I made a new account for dogs and did the same method, and again, they get around 10-40 views per reel. This account now has 18 followers after 4 reels.

Whats going on here?

I've just started my IG journey, so IDK about IG that much but are you sure you transformed/add values to your videos enough?

I've been uploading YT shorts and when I upload a video with low effort, it gets 3-4 views max. But when I edit that video, add value and transform it, it gets tons of views. I think IG may have similar algorithm.

My SIL uploads videos to her IG. She record videos herself (original) and gets millions of views.

I think videos should be original or you should transform it/add enough value.

Those are what I've observed from my reels feed. Reuploaded contents are always has unique features (edits, voice, cuts etc.).

Please take what I said with a grain of salt. As I said, I've just started my IG journey.

Can you give me a tangible example on what you mean by transform or add value to the content?

In what ways do you edit your videos that have improved your results?

Im new to this aswell

Like cutting unnecessary parts, adding text, adding filter, adding commentary.
Just don't download a popular video and reupload it without changing anything.
IG doesn't want the same, reuploaded content.

So, respost videos can’t get view now?
They do, I have 15 repost theme pages all above 100k and they get views and go viral as well, Same repurposed content with credit but no editing at all

I tried the same and IG shadow banned my page. My last videos literally got 0 views.

Did you try starting a new page and reposting repurposed content?

Instagram has the best algorithm compared to YouTube and TikTok. I managed to go viral after just one video, reaching 30 million views in one month. I hit 8 million views in like 1 month of posting. Ask me anything, if you have questions.

congratulations

Repost video, or publish original video?

People are tired of reels , tik tok is always the best for short videos

I think this shit is going to start to be interesting, since the AI algorithms can now analyze context too, not only the Flintstone age metrics like metadata and hash sums.

Hello,
does the type of phone you use for uploading the reels matter? Is iPhone 11 good nowadays + for the future or its better to use new versions like 13... or is it all just a myth and you can upload from iPhone 8

Any attempts to bypass content review processes is sure to be penalized by Meta eventually.

is shadowbanning also present in reels? i feel this might be the reason for that problem.
