My Reels used to average 50K–100K views, and now they barely hit 5K. No shadowban, no copyright issues. I post daily with consistent quality, but engagement tanked overnight. Anyone else seeing a huge reach drop recently? Wondering if Instagram changed how it pushes Reels again.

Check your account status. Go to the settings bar and click "Account Status". It should say there if you violated anything. Normally, once you remove the videos that got flagged, the account is working good 1-2 weeks time.

A bunch of creators are reporting the same. Looks like IG is dialing back organic Reels reach again—probably pushing ads or favoring newer accounts. Might be worth testing diff post times or formats till it stabilizes.

Early engagement is crucial; if you don't capture attention within the first 30-60 minutes, your video will fail. Creating high-quality, original, and engaging content is crucial. As this becomes increasingly difficult to reach a wide audience, adjust your strategy accordingly.

Hi, Yeah, reach has dropped for many lately — looks like another algorithm tweak. Try mixing trending audio and slightly longer retention-focused clips to recover.

I noticed a drop too, but stories and carousel posts seem unaffected, so it’s definitely Reels-specific.

Sometimes the algorithm just shifts unexpectedly best to experiment with posting times and formats to find what sticks rather than stressing over a sudden drop.

Yeah a lot of creators are noticing the same looks like Instagram tweaked the Reels algorithm again. Keep posting consistently it usually bounces back after a bit.

Reels reach seems more sensitive to early engagement now. First hours performance matters more than before.

Been seeing the same dip lately. Honestly starting to think Instagram is quietly prioritizing ads over organic content.

I think Instagram now cares more about saves and shares than views, so even good videos get less reach.

Try mixing in carousels or Stories; sometimes engagement from other formats boosts Reels reach again.

Creators across the board are reporting a significant drop in organic reach for Reels, which has fueled suspicions that Instagram is tweaking its algorithm to favor Ads over organic content, or is giving a boost to new accounts. When faced with this uncertainty, creators should see it as a time to take action rather than complain. Constantly experimenting with new posting times and content formats is an essential strategy to find balance and optimize performance during this algorithmic shift. Or consider switching to Facebook for a test drive.
