Reduce goog PPC costs

I think it's up to Google to reduce it.

Maybe try different keywords.

Optimize keywords for conversion data
Optimize ad schedule during best conversion hours
Optimize display ad placements
Optimize by tracking income by area conversions
Continue recreating ads to fight exhaustion, increase CTR

List could go on and on. But that's a very broad question you've asked.

When my QS is 8/10 i pay $0.05 per click and when i get QS of 10/10, i only pay $0.02. That's the POWER of QS.

You should work on it !

Quality Score is central to so many things in Google Adwords and Bing Ads. Improve it and you improve your campaigns. The main driver of QS is your click rate compared to competitors at your position. In other words, get more people to click your ads.

Google does not determine costs, advertisers do. If costs doubled in the last year, it's because your competitors have increased their bids and/or increased their QS and jumped ahead of you. This happens a lot to advertisers who simply let things run and pay their campaigns no attention. You can't stand still in this game.

i would strongly consider expanding your campaign to different ad networks

CPC rises in competitive markets. So write better ads and stay on top of bidding.

If you are converting visitors then get on display network, if you are not already. There are lots of cheap clicks with display ads.

Its Bid & bid based on competition. You cant reduce it. But you can minimize you ad cost by optimizing your Ad Copy.

I suspect that within real estate more and more new online estate agents are setting up google adwords accounts and flush with investors money are throwing money at adwords to try to get to position 1.

When this happens focus on quality, by which I mean the quality score, enhance the user landing page experience, ad relevancy, etc etc. Try to get most keywords have a QS of at least 6/10

Also highly target your visitors, demographics, location, themes - this will further boost QS by increasing ad relevancy and landing page experience, and thus reduce your CPC and ultimately the CPA.

PS, Just looking at your first post;

If you quality score is going down then you will have to increase your bids to keep your FPR ( First Page Rank ) this is most likely what is happening and so the solution would be described above. You will soon understand how important QS is to google..lol

If your primary keywords are expensive, may be you should consider targeting secondary / relevant keywords. The volume may not be high but thats the only other way to bring down the CPC. Everything else is beyond our control with no valid method to measure the actual competition / highest-bid.

I wonder nobody mentioned negative keywords before, basically it should increase the Quality Score too, but adding negative keywords eliminate the traffic which not worth paying for. If you use anything other than exact match type you should use negative keywords. (Well sometime you should use negative keywords with exact match too, because of abbreviations & Google is s...t make the difference between ceo & cfo etc. )

It's pretty hard to find good negative keywords, but basically longer search terms has it, eg. 'rent salford quays' probably a good keywords but 'rent parking salford quays' is not (unless you are renting parking spaces and not properties). Or 'rent manchester nh' is also not good, unless you are renting properties overseas in the US not in the UK. I hope that helped.

So in this case 'parking' and 'nh' would be negative keywords for your campaign.

dont use google suggestion, try to find a less competitive keywords

The best optimization of the campaign one can do the best reduced cpc would be.

More search terms = more traffic at lower cost. :)

QS is the only thing i can think of as a solution

Most newbies don't get it that adwords is a dynamic platform and CPC and in turn your CPS will depend totally on what your competitors are doing. Even after doing your best in optimizing your campaign if your competitors do the same the whole games changes again. So the only way is to first accept that things will keep changing and next you should be ready to adapt and change your strategies according to the market you are operating in.
