    Hi guys...

I am searching for a while info about this issue, but can`t find some decent answer at any place. Maybe here one of the SEO experts could answer for that.

Please guys, if you have experience with this issue please please advice, this will be very helpful for my SEO work.

    1. Is where way to know who redirect to my site? I mean if where is some tool what can find all redirect domains that redirects to my website. Is where some free tool for that or payed one? I mean, not to dig each backlink to my website and to check if it redirects or not. Some tool what can tell all redirects to my website or to my competitor.

    2. Is to promote website without www is better for SEO? I mean is it better to redirect without www ?
I suppose it is better to do so because when you redirect, google can't see any duplicate content, i don't know exactly the reason.

thanks and have a great weekend...

Use majestic seo and look at your backlinks, 301 directs sometimes show up :)

ALso look at your referral traffic in google analytics or server stats and see if any domains are sending you traffic, if they are then check them out!

www or non www is personal preference to be honest but make sure you do one or the other

Yes. it is actually does not matter is it www or without www. Also, in regards to the redirection how many links you have on your website? If it is not a big website, then you could run websitetest.org where all the 301's will be shown. Thanks.

I manage many site, some small and some big ones. I notice that "big guys" prefer to promote without www The question is what is the reason they do that? See for example webhostingtop dot org - whey are on first page with very very competitive keyword "web hosting". And where is many more this kind of website technique... maybe whey know something else.. that I don't know..
    thanks..
