There is this verified seller from whom I have bought backlinks in past for other sites of mine. He promised both indexing of the backlink and it will be a do-follow backlink, not no-follow

Ok, good luck than. Anyway Reddit is one of the top websites with very quick Google indexing so link from it values a lot. How many? Nobody will answer. Tell us who authority of your domain is risen after this backlink, could be interesting.

Sure I will. My domain is still new and has no authority. Would love to see how it affects ranking, DA, PA and DR

This. You can rank reddit posts/subreddits for keywords easily. So even if your site doesn't rank directly, you will get a lot of traffic from reddit this way.
Also even nofollow links from social media are valuable for ranking your site.
