Recruit affiliates

I have an e-commerce store where I sell prescription and non prescription blue light blocking glasses. I have an in-house affiliate programme that has been going very well. Sales have been flying since Covid as people are spending more time on digital devices. All my affiliates have so far joined passively without me having to recruit them but I am looking to really scale this up now. What’s the best way to actively recruit affiliates?

Advertise on BHW
You can either post in relevant forums like this one OR you could go creative, create a course about affiliate marketing in which you explain people in detail how to promote your own offer. You then sell that course for cheap $5-7 for example on Udemy.
 
Direct contact via email or phone.

Hello Pharmed,

You should start contacting all sorts of different pages to become your affiliates, just find their contact details.

Use your social media as well! Throw your offers out there. There are many affiliate groups etc.

hmm does it still works? even I received others IM email I never read and straight trash it or unsubcribe it
whereas on phone, " thanks to those scammer " now people will not pick up call if the number don't looks familar etc

Is there a specific thread somewhere here that you can list your affiliate program? I can't see one.
Or is there a better subforum here that affiliates use?
 
Join a CPA network as an advertiser / vendor.

They have hundreds of affiliates ready to promote your offer.

I think social media is probably the best option for me as i don't have any affiilate contacts.

I am struggling to find good calibre affiliates.

What i need advice on is, very specifically, how do i find good affiliates that will deliver results.
What are the best hastags to use while searching on instagram, what are the best search terms to use while searching on twitter or google? And any other methods to find them.
It might sound obvious but when i use broad hastags or search terms like "affiliate" "shareasale" etc I am not getting the results i need.
Of the replies I have got using this method many of the people with larger followerss are asking for a large fee upfront while the smaller ones are looking for free products (my glasses cost $165 for prescription pair so they are not cheap) with no guarantee that they will promote them (some just looking for free stuff)

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

yes. Its like they watched the the Tai Lopez agency course and want a flat fee.
Some also offered me to be my media buying agent and want me to give them an Ad budget out of my pocket.

and so far no replies on IG dms and youtuber emails for me.

Aren't CPAs looking to be paid commission per email? Its basically Solo ads with extra steps?
 
Let affiliates find you. It is the as if you have a blog and look form guest posters. They will find you if your website is good.

1. What tracking are you using? Do you reply on old fashion cookie tracking only?
2. What volume of sales can you handle?
3. Do you offer top notch support for both affiliates and your clients?
4. How do you pay commission?

etc.

Big affiliates work with big vendors. You can start a JV thread here and fins some partners, then, if you need more volume you can try other ways.
 
If you want to find more affiliates without a lot of hustle you can add your offer to a few well-known affiliate networks like maxbounty, clickdealer, awin and many more. Affiliates will find you this way.

How would you add your offer to these networks if you are using a selfhosted affiliate management software?

There are different ways in which you could recruit affiliates, and if you really want and are prepared for scaling your business and bringing it to the next level, you should try more of them at once. One option is to try to find them on these forums, by posting threads, placing your offer in the marketplace section, getting in touch with some affiliates that are looking to join some networks, and so on. Besides, you can look at them on different sites where they are present, some online discussions, and so on, and try to contact them directly if they left any contact details there. Also, you can do the research and try to find sites specialized in bringing more affiliates to businesses and list yourself there so that you can reach a wider audience. The whole point is in finding ways to do a more extensive promotion and be present on many popular sites.
