Recover from Penguin Recipe

Got some questions. How unique and how readable was your article? Any interlinking between them? Links inside a sentence or random placement?

Edit: See you blasted in 48 hours.

Have your sites dropped more before recovering?

only the new(er) sites. If I rememeber correctly, only for a short period of time and then they climbed back up.

Thanks

How many links did these sites have when they got hit, and what was your anchor diversity like then?

For people with 1000s of links and over 50% of them being the main keyword, this will not work for you.

Not bad, but you didn't test the keyword density and link building separately, did you?

Have you used original or spun content? Any photos or videos in you content?

Quick question at the OP or anyone who uses demon

How do you get it to post to wikis in a timely fashion. It submit to wikis for me at an INSANELY slow pace. My other wiki tools can build 100 links for everyone it makes

Am I missing something, how can i make it make 3000+ links quickly?

I want to know, have you received the google's "love story", "
Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to......."

I'd like to know this too. I got that damn message and my site tanked pretty badly.

That's good, but to be honest I think removing the keyword from the title tag was overkill.

My recommendation would be to dilute the title, but keep the keyword in there. Also try and make the title as attention getting as possible like, "The Shocking Truth About Keyword!"....

Overall the rest of your strategy is pretty sound...

nope
Thats because I never installed goog webmasters tools

Why should I have them scoop up my content and links?
My sites are legit and tons of content, they are indexed the second I post a new article...

I just got back a major site that i had no hopes for!!!

2. Off site
I created 70 web 2.0 properties using different tools
I blasted these properties with 10-20,000 wikis
I blasted the wikis with 1,000+ bookmarks
I blasted 30 edu links to main site this time

As far as anchor texts used: 30% keywords and the rest call to action keywords ( aka: "call us", "contact us"...)

  • It works

Just need to be organized and keep up with the plan. The results are there, back on track now with 80% of the sites that got hit.

Good luck

Hi Fel3232

The 70 web2.0 and the 30 edu links totals to 100 new links pointing at your site - is the reason your sites got hit by penguin because you had too many links with the same anchor? If so did these 100 links then dilute your anchors enough to remove the penalty or do you think it was more to do with the new juiced up links just pushing them back into the SERPS?

Were you hit on the 24th April or 2-3 days before that? There is a huge difference. You can check your analytics to see when your traffic died.

Thanks for sharing mate!

That's the big thing, many people aren't taking action and trying to find the answer. The key is to get out there and test different ideas, otherwise you are wasting time.

Recovering from Penguin is possible, but only possible if you take action. Rankings aren't just gonna come back overnight magically without doing anything.

Tried this method out on 3 of my sites. Have not seen any Google movement, although, I have seen some positive movement with yahoo and bing. It has only been about a week though. Will report back with any changes. Hopefully I will see something over time.

I have however seen some good results with micro niche sites. They rank pretty easily. I try and choose sites that I can monetize with something other than adsense. Pretty sure that is going to be the next thing they go after.
