Sorry to bump these guys, but I was in your shoes at the same time. Well, I'm 19, live at home, and going to community college. I'm applying to one of top business schools in the US this fall, and I've been working on building a passive income so I can somewhat support myself when I do go (though I will mention, my parents will support me regardless). I have around the same amount of money as you, maybe a little bit more. I'm investing it in a whole bunch of micro niche sites, and one larger site for the longrun.
I would strongly recommend reading into micro niche sites; they'd be great for a beginner like yourself. Ewhoring and all can bring in short bursts of good money, but if you want to build a passive income, go for micro niche sites/niche sites. Don't be afraid to invest. I was in your shoes; I had a fear of investing my money. Look at it like this; it's only $800. Chances are, if you read enough, have a plan, success is possible. Obviously, if you just jump into things, you have a higher risk of failing. So do your reading, and don't be afraid to invest. But invest wisely. Don't blow the $800. Good luck bro.
