All the writers on fiverr are pretty bad. I really don't know how they get that many great reviews when I can tell their english is pretty bad when I contact them. Someone point me towards a native english writer. Thanks

If you pay fiverr rates you can never get native writers.

It takes time but I recently published this post on some observations I made with Upwork while developing my own team of writers. I have put thousands into the BST here for content but I had to move away from it due to a number of reasons.

Calling bullshit on this, people are all in difference circumstances and I have had native students, single mothers and people in rural areas work for me and produce excellent content for cheaper rates then Fiverr.

Depends on two things

1) Your budget.
2) If you are hiring a team or individual. When you hire a team, the content gets outsourced, and maybe a third world student, desperate for money is writing it. (He/she is not that good in quality but great in quantity).

Look for an individual, check out his/her published and unpublished work, pay his/her due and you'd get a good writer. Always do your due diligence. :)
 
Thanks for recommending me @Cherry but my head is too far up my ass to work with most of the people on BHW. My rates are higher than what the majority of people on this forum are looking to pay.

The fact that someone mentioned you can get excellent writers for cheap tells me I need to exit this thread pronto.

OP, to answer your question, it's an open secret that Fiverr is very lenient re complaints.

Plus, writers quickly giving refunds ensure they keep their 5 star ratings.
 
It would probably be best if you get freelancers who you can post pay so you can control the quality
For example look around freelance sites
 
OP, go the marketplace section and check some reviews. You may also ask some sample works for validity.
