BHW Journeys with many comments can double as self-help books, IMO.
Not a 'self-help' book per se but 'The Next 100 Years' by George Friedman really helped in getting a better perspective of this world for me! I liked it a lot, maybe you'll too... I read it on Scribd though not paperback. It is that time of the year.
I am like super motivated to get my shit together.
I want to get back into reading. Thought I'd start with some self help books. So let's hear it. What book changed your life?
Not a book, but a series of videos by Jim Rohn. If you need to get your shit together in life and in your career, he is the one.

Also, plenty of his videos for free on YouTube. If you view one a day, in a week you'll have a totally improved outlook on life and a renewed determination to succeed.![]()
I am going to give this a readNot really a self-help book but 'The Brain' from David Eagleman is the book that made me see the world from a different perspective. It answered so many questions that I have been asking myself through the years.
the monk who sold his ferrari is a quiet interesting one.
what do you mean? The monk who sold his ferrari then made 100 times it's worth selling books about it![]()
Picked it up again.. this time the audiobook. It's worth reading annually or semi-annually or something like that - whatever fits you.
The life lessons are timeless and knowing you I am sure you will appreciate them.
Looks good will give it a shot.Pulling Your Own Strings - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/344718.Pulling_Your_Own_Strings
Very easy read, and seems to have a semi-permanent mind shift effect on most people I know that have read it.
I have read "A mans search for meaning". It is a good book. After reading well over 500 self-improvement books the past 10 years I would recommend Victor Frankl "A mans search for meaning". Not strictly self-help tho.
For a strict self-help type book read Ryan Holiday 'The Obstacle is the way'
I know i am.. jk"You Are a Badass".

Okay this is definitely on the list now.. too many people want me to read that. The monk who sold his ferrari
I tried a long time ago.. it is deadass boring book imo. I'll give it another try.Napoleon Hill - Think and Grow Rich is the book that had greatest influence on me...
I'll pick the first one first..I'm currently re-reading The Seven habits of Highly Effective People. I first read it about 10 years ago but I've forgotten so much of it. It's more than just making money etc, it really encourages you to be a good person and not an asshole.
I've also read The 1% Rule by Tommy Baker which was surprisingly good. So many of the modern-day self-help books are rehashed versions of older books but this one was different.
Picked it up again.. this time the audiobook.
Looks good will give it a shot.

I came across documentaries he did on how brain work (when i was learning about what LSD does to our brain) and it truly was mind blowing. Didn't know he wrote a book. I'll check it out.
I haven't. Looks interesting.
Hmm, read some reviews on goodreads. Looks interesting.
I started reading this book a while ago and gave up. Will have to give it another shot.
If that's not to your taste, maybe How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie will do?
