It is that time of the year.
I am like super motivated to get my shit together. :weep:

I want to get back into reading. Thought I'd start with some self help books. So let's hear it. What book changed your life?

Not really a self-help book but 'The Brain' from David Eagleman is the book that made me see the world from a different perspective. It answered so many questions that I have been asking myself through the years.

Did you read You can Win? If not, it will be an excellent book.

I came across documentaries he did on how brain work (when i was learning about what LSD does to our brain) and it truly was mind blowing. Didn't know he wrote a book. I'll check it out.

I haven't. Looks interesting.

12 rules for life by Jordan B. Peterson is a good book. I wouldnt call it self help though.
Hmm, read some reviews on goodreads. Looks interesting.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck
- Mark Manson

You can have an idea of what's in the book by reading this article:

I started reading this book a while ago and gave up. Will have to give it another shot.

If that's not to your taste, maybe How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie will do?
Have read it. I am fucking amazing with people haha :D

Excellent book.

Actually super excellent book.

  • How to win friends and influence people , for social skills.
  • The subtle art of not giving a f.. , for peace of mind
  • The monk who sold his Ferrari, great self improvement to start new habits like meditation, clean eating, appreciation, reading, exercise
  • My ebook on how to get free vbucks on Fortnite :P

After reading well over 500 self-improvement books the past 10 years I would recommend Victor Frankl "A mans search for meaning". Not strictly self-help tho.
For a strict self-help type book read Ryan Holiday 'The Obstacle is the way'
