Found the site MyCookbook on flippa and I'm interested mainly for recipes and user data. Is it worth $22k though?

How do you value member information and content? The site was only $10k this morning. Someone sees big value in it.

Pretty high price so far, in my opinion.

Clearly value there for someone. I know nothing about the niche, so can't really comment on where the value is, sounds like it's been neglected a little so would need someone who knows what they are doing to get it going again.

Is this your site by any chance? :)

Yeah old school for sure. I notice the reserve isn't met either.

Well I want to create a similar site but that is a lot of money. Although then I could sell it to Facebook for 1 BILLION DOLLARS!

I'd imagine recipes would be a hard niche to monetize. People are in research mode, not buying mode, so earnings would be terrible unless you had a clever way to monetize them or got a ton of traffic.

I wonder how can one monetize a recipe site? Smart ways I suppose... rather TOO smart.

Recipes are really popular, so if it is monetized well, it veruy we;; cpuld be/

It could be valuable. I've got one recipes based website and I recouped all the investment in it within a few months. This included, domain, hosting, seo everything. It still makes a small bit.

So keeping that in mind, it could be profitable if someone know how to use it well. But 22k is way too much.
