Recently Created Site Indexing ?

I have created a site last night and finished off all the bells and whistles that come with search console submission and such.

Today i checked if the site is indexed by URL inspection on search console and it says " URL is on Google", however if i do manual search on google, the site does not yet apear, even after the targeting search site:example.com

is it common that search console says site is on google and yet it isn't ?

GSC inspector is not equal to real indexing. It's just a guidance. Don't worry, it will pop very soon. Patience is extremely important when dealing with Google.

Just keep working on the site

Really?? That's not true. In OP's case it is a cache issue, op just clear the browser cache or try it in private/incognito mode and you'll see your site in the results.

Sadly it isn't cache issue.

The above two replies are correct, the site is not yet in google but the search console could be a guidance and a suggestion that it is soon to be released into google.

It happened to one of my sites, so I'm telling from my personal experience.

It isn't about Google, it could be the browser cache issue. I tried site:myblog in a different browser and it shows up in the results.

Just checked on 6 of those tools/sites. 4 Said not indexed, 2 Said indexed. I wouldn't worry much about it now since it is just 1 day old site :).

Google data centres.
Just give it a day or 2... if the problem persists then you need to investigate.
So many times I've had it.... some people see my url and I don't.
 
Google Take a Some time and be patient
 
Out of 30 articles that I wrote recently on an 8 years old site, only 6 of them show up in the SERPs although all of them are indexed.

Google is really shitty these days. 26 articles are still not in the SERPs and it has been several weeks. Some did come to SERPS but only for a couple of days and then again disappeared. I hate Google for wasting my time.

just wait at least a week and everything will be fine
 
Finally, It is live in the "Real' Google searches now.
 
If GSC is showing there your site is on Google then no worry just wait for some time most probably weeks then re-check it on Google, if everything is all right in your site then your site will appear at Google somewhere.
