Recent Scrapebox Proxy Issue, everyone should note

then let me ask you this even with your tools
scripts how many proxies do u get passing google
against how many passed in scrape box..ille hold
of my answer till i get a reply..

I get about 250 on average, which is plenty.

But more importantly (and you keep ignoring this, for some reason) the proxies work fine in Firefox, so this really has nothing to do with my tools. Here, I'll even give you proof of the issue (see attachments). Notice the number of dead proxies in SB. Every single one of those proxies works fine in FireFox and through my scripts.

As of this post, that proxy is working fine, but not in SB (images taken 5 minutes ago, proxy tested just now.)

no no im not dis believing you, im just saying this.
for the 3 yrs ive provided proxies for scraping 1 thing
was always constant, ide always aprox 5-6k proxies
through bleach b4 i tested them in scrapebox google check
for the last 2 months no matter how hard i try only using
public scrape proxies i cant get over 3.5k through bleach
b4 testing them in scrapebox - so baring in mind ive done this
for 3 yrs, sold it as a service on bhw for 2 yrs with 550+ signups
0 refund, i have a rough idea whats out there, and public proxies
are way down, about 2k a day way down... alot down...
the only way even im just surviving is by port scanning proxies...

because from 2010 to late 2011 i averaged 2k a day through scrape
box - public scraped proxies / public port scanned proxies.
now im struggling to hit 7-800 per go.. numbers are down
public proxies are way down.. fact.. no offence its my job to
notice these things.

Exact same issue here as well.

Yea, but I'm not talking about the numbers. That is a separate issue.

I'm saying SB is not working properly, I've provided proof of it and it looks like you are too, and clearly tons of people on this thread are confirming this.

The response I got from SB support was disturbing -- suggesting to me that I stop using the goog scraper, I'm like whaaa? That wasn't even entirely the issue and they seemed to be ignoring what I'm saying, much like you are, that the proxies don't even work for Bing or Yahoo either because the SB software thinks the proxies don't work, even though they do.

The fact that I have not heard from them since my last response to them tells me that they think their last response to me was an acceptable solution and it obviously isn't.

well i cant slate s/box the owner was kind enough to
let me have it - if u read this post u will understand why
i have to be conservative
read

what i will say is from my perspective is this.
purely based on simple numbers - the 5k rule
public proxies are way down. without my ability
to scan public proxies via port scanning ide be in
a mess. the numbers are down / proxies are down
so that doesnt help either if and im choosing my words
carefully, theres an issue with the test, yes that would
also possibly add to the falling numbers as well if that
were the case

Read your other thread, well that's great to hear that you've turned your life around. :)

Regarding this thread, however, the issue has nothing to do with the number of working proxies. I'm not sure why you keep coming back to that -- guess you're just trying to defend SB. However, if a proxy works everywhere else but not in scrapebox, then there is a problem with scrapebox, period.

I'm not gonna address your issue with the number of working proxies anymore as it's entirely irrelevant.

Um yea...he is really not talking about the number of working proxies.

he IS talking about the mechanism that is behind this programmed into scrapebox. I also can verify this is an unaddressed problem that I am having on my server also. A proxy will not work in scrapebox due to an internal processing error, but it works fine in any other program I might use such as firefox, IBP, Tweetadder, Traffic Travis ect

This happens with software often, as a matter of a fact I had a few updates recently to traffic travis over a goo00000gle query malfunction they had in result of a change Goooooooooogle made on their end.

This is a bug internal to scrapebox, it does not address the number of proxies.

+1

I've been testing proxies with SB and failed ones was working fine with my custom G scraping script.

Yea I think that I'm going to need to look for a different scrape method in the short term.

any recommendations for a good Gugugugooooooogle scrapper?

I need to submit a trouble ticket with them also and will report back on the response / status ect. I am not having a problem with this in posting and commenting, have not examined trackbacks yet but assume they work fine also. Just seems to be a scrapper issue.

well i look at it this way.
im still getting 700-1k google
passed public scraped+public port scanned
proxies everyday..so even if the tester is flawed
it doesnt effect me..

I've been having the same exact problem with SB proxy testing. Just bought Squidproxies...the little 10 package, and SB told me all of them were bad so the poor people there have been replacing them every day for the past few days. lol...I never even thought it was a problem with SB but thought I was doing something wrong.

I'm new to using proxies, so can anyone tell me how to test them other than plugging them one by one into Firefox...? I'd like to be able to use more free ones too.

Even if they are good proxies that test bad in SB, they still can't be used right..? Cause the software won't recognize them...?

So is SB basically garbage now...?

This is a bit off topic but I am wondering how we can test or find out if posting is actually working? I ran scrapebox & it said I posted my comments to 260 blogs. I have went back the last two days, manually to many of these sites and not seeing my comment.

Is their an easy way to find out if you are actually really leaving comments or scrapebox is just throwing a random number at you but nothing is really happening.

If anyone is an expert with scrapebox & wanting to help out a newby let me know I would greatly appreciate it. I have watched all the videos and have a good grasp on the program, just not seeing results or proof that it actually does what it is saying it is doing.

because unless they were auto aproved blogs which
means your comments go live when u post them.
if they were not it means your posts were sent to
moderated sites, meaning scrapebox is right, they were
posted, but as the site is on moderated, chances are
your posts were deleted as spam. so buy an auto approved
url list. problem solved

I just learned that I can use the "link checker" to see my results. How could it be that 260 were successful yet, 0 links were found? Could all of these been marked as spam & deleted?

I spun the comment very well & I thought personally it was a decent looking write up that would have at least some success.

Second how do you go about finding auto-approve url's with scrapebox?

or if you can't how do you buy them can you give me a link so I can look.

Thanks Again for the Help

alot of the urls u scrape wont be auto approved
this means even though u post your comment scrapebox
lists it as posted, which it was, but, if the post lands
on a blog were only comments moderators allow to be
see, chances are, a mod looked at your comments and deleted
them, thus no1 ever saw them.

an auto approved blog is a blog were your comments arnt moderated
and require no permission for the public to see them.
you could try in bst here
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/f18-buy-sell-trade/

or just google > scrapebox auto approved list
you will find them

I did not read the whole thread, just some posts from page one, but I am glad to know that it is not only me with problems with scrapebox.

I have been opening tickets the whole week with my VPS provider because nothing I did fixed the problem with proxies and scraping G.

Today the proxies were all good but I cannot scrape from G no matter what I try!

edit: private proxies working with ubot, sick submitter, senuke and even manually on browser, but not on SB.

troublie do u have skype
ile try1 of my lists to see if its
your proxies or a scrapebox issue

sure I have but now I am at work so I am not able to use it at the moment. Will pm u later to try!

but as for now things are the same, no g scraping and a few yahoo for a lot of keywords.

Well I guess I'll be finding out if SB is going to work for me here tonite- maybe it will take me a while before I get banned lol. I opened ticket with the powers that be at SB and got this reply today:

No there is nothing wrong with the proxy checking its highly accurate. The problem is that hundreds of people could be simultaneously using those same proxies. In fact if 100 people were all just running them thru the proxy checker it could ban them from google, because in order to accurately proxy check them, it has to pull a google search results page, and the sheer volume of users proxy checking them can ban IPs. Not to mention if you keep proxy checking them over and over again and everyone else does too then that could do it.

However there is nothing wrong at all with the proxy checker.

Regards, ScrapeBox and ScrapeJet Support.
