I've been in touch with SB support and they've been responsive and are looking into fixing the following problem. I figured everyone in this forum might be interested to know why so many proxies are failing in SB lately and the good news that the proxies they're getting may actually work perfectly fine, that the problem is with SB.

Basically what is happening is I'm checking proxies with my own php script which tests against go*gle.com to make sure they are not blocked, and the proxies come back green (not blocked, i.e. good to use).

Then I bring them into SB to do some scraping and they don't work. So I test them with SB's tester and they all fail. Ok, so I try to manually use them through FF, Chrome, IE, etc. and they work fine! Obviously, this is an issue with Scrapebox...

    Test #1 -- user agent
My php script uses a particular user agent, so I tried using that in SB yesterday and suddenly the proxies were call coming back green from SB. Yay, right? Well then today I download the SB update and suddenly I have problems again. I tried updating the user agent again, no dice.

    Result: not the user agent..

    Test #2 -- computer
I thought maybe it was my computer, so I logged onto a remote desktop and tried SB there, still no dice.

    Result: not the computer.

    Test #3 -- the url
My php script uses www.go*gle.com to test. So i removed the www to see what happens and sure enough the proxies are failing.

So I just wrote to SB again with this info, hoping they will check the url they are using and see that they need to add the www. But who knows, maybe that is not the problem. So I'm waiting to hear back. I'll let people know what happens.

Just wanted to help anyone who's struggling with this issue lately. Maybe some info here will help you find an alternative until SB gets fixed.

    Happy scraping. :)

Hi, I notified Scrapebox support about this as well in the past. I found the same inconsistencies in Scrapebox's Google testing compared to my own. They told me they were going to fix it but I'm sure that other users finding the same error will hasten the fix ;) The support was very helpful and friendly and responded promptly, by the way.

Good to hear I'm not the only one as well.

I can also confirm that their support is very helpful.

Still haven't heard today, but I will check in with you guys once I do.

So I guess we will wait and see!

I'm aware of SB's issue for a long time.

That is why my own large-scale multi-proxy test engines, including SB/G00gle test engines work well.

I always advised my customers not to bother in testing proxies in SB...just use the tested SB/G00gle from Proxylist.co system, which works well for them for a long time. It is mentioned in my sales thread many times.

I'm truly glad you acknowledged the issue.

ille agree with 1 thing public scraped proxies passing the
google check have fallen to terrible levels. very bad
and ille be honest portal, if it wasnt for the fact 90% of
my public proxie google passed lists are port scanned from
ip ranges, i would be well and truly fcked
but thankfully on a bad day im still holding firm at around
1k google passed public scraped proxies and public port
    scanned proxies passed scrapebox g/check

trust me the only way to get larger amounts of
proxies passed scrapebox google check is to port
scan them like i do.. on very good days it can be
1-2-3k passing bad days 1k at the most.

as for public scraped proxies - meh

The latest update threw everything completely out of whack indeed.

I've been having to scrape a lot more to get the results I was getting just a week ago.

Also, it's been absurd how many of the same lists are getting passed around. 300,000 turning into 20k uniques is a good day...

Luckily I've found some good sources where the working public proxies have been passing and working for days, but just the sheer amount of failing proxies seems wrong.

another note to think of is also ive notice
public proxies are falling again had anyone
noticed that..ive used the same sources along
time and i always get 30k scraped after bleeching
leaving 5/6k to run through s/box this is public proxies
im refering to and ide get say 4-600 working
now thoes same sources are down to 24k with 3-4k
passing bleech..and around 300 or less passing scrapebox.
again without my port scanning for public proxies via ip
addresses to raise that list to 1k passing google ide be
    screwed

You are not alone in my tests it looks bad for SB because lot of good proxies are mark as failed and like Jrim_Software & portalweb said it was already some time. It's not the smartest thing to test proxies via SB now.
You need your own script or other tool dedicated to work with proxies.

Yep, leaving Sb aside, the number of public proxies I'm getting at surffc.com is dropping noticeably.

    can only be 2 factors
1 - public proxies have fallen really badly
2 - theres a problem with the proxie tester

i put 40k through s/box proxie tester today
i barley got out 400. i usually average 1k minimum
    everyday for 2yrs.

    so somethings off
