I’m curious to hear realistic experiences around 100% white-hat, content-driven link building timelines, ROI expectations, and where it tends to break or work best.

I created around 12 quality and niche related backlinks for a client when its traffic was around 3k and after 2 months it gradually grew up to 30k and now after an year they are 100k+.

With only whitehat techniques you can expect to get decent traffic in around 5 to 6 months. The ROI comes from how you monetize your website, if you sell for example your own services/products you can expect to have greater return than affiliate marketing or ad monetization.
