I have seen that in past in BHW marketplace there were lot of sellers selling like websites with 100 articles or 50 articles or so. Obviously, google caught up on such websites and thus the bst also died. What about offering such websites with seo done so that some organic visitors have already started coming on the website?

What do you mean by seo done? Like on page or backlinks?
There is no guarantee that doing seo on a new site will bring traffic.
If you have done it recently then go ahead and open a bst.
I mean, why not do it before you offer a service.
 
Many people specialize in buying and selling websites. They build websites specifically to sell them, that is their business.
 
In my opinion, the model itself wasn’t the real problem — it was the lack of quality and long-term strategy behind most of those sites.


A lot of the old marketplace listings were basically mass-produced sites with 50–100 generic articles, no real topical authority, weak internal linking, and zero brand signals. Even if basic SEO is done, the real question is whether the site has proven demand and stable signals, not just content volume. Pre-built sites often look optimized on the surface, but without sustained traffic patterns, topical depth, and natural authority growth, they rarely hold long term.

In my experience, buyers benefit more from understanding why a site is getting traffic rather than how many articles it has.
 
If the niche has demand and content quality is good enough, you can do on-page SEO and branding to gain visibility. It won't guarantee any traffic or income though but they are the factors buyers watch out for. If you find a way to rank sites without backlinks, then you'll have a chance to grow and sell these sites.
 
Sites with generic articles fail now. Only SEO-optimized sites with quality content and real early traffic are valuable.
 
Most of those sites died because content was thin and templated. Even with basic seo done Google will catch patterns fast.

If you sell them they need real niche focus and real traffic proof not just article count.
