Seriously, learn HTML.
A link is a fucking link, there is no difference between a comment link and a normal page link.
This shit is unbelievable if you really think there is a difference between these two.
Most of inbound links effects are very dependent on your on-page SEO, I suggest you improve it.
Also, make your PBN has a lot of inbound links as well.

Remember that PBN posts will fall back in the sites archives and thus have less link juice over time going to it. Blend that with high PR links from homepages and then a regular drip feed to a PBN and you can sustain top rankings without any other SEO.

Don't over optimize either, make it look natural.

What is classed as over-optimized? Have only been using main keyword in title, in 1 H1 tag and once in the article. Should it just be the title do you think?

Of course you can rank with PBN links alone, but it would depend upon competition and the niche that you may be in. I could rank on page 1 with just a handful of PBNs for some keywords.

Yes you can rank with a PBN alone.

If you're having problems, it probably means that your PBN sucks.
