Hey BHW members,
I have seen that many still rank their Site.google pages very high in google. I wanted to ask if it's easy to rank High?
I've read that if you have over 2000 words you better rank in google. Is it true ?.
Do I need my own content for this or can I copy it from others and change it a bit?
I also want to ask how best to index sites.google and how long it takes on average
Thanks for your help in advance guys.

Yes, you can go with it. For better result and indexing try to use orginal content.
Just submit to GSC for indexing and Point pbn or Some HQ links to rank fast.

Ranking is easy but indexing is difficult. Submitting to GSC doesn't always work. You may need to submit to private indexers or create backlinks. Moreover, you need to keep testing keyword combinations to check ranking keywords. So, it's difficult to index your G-site after every update. If you manage to index it frequently, you can easily rank.

Yes, lengthy word content definitely helps Improve your ranking but It happening only with original content, I suggest avoid the copied content because It's didn't help for standard ranking,

You can choose the low competition keyword and trending topics, It'll help you get a better ranking, Once you post an article update the sitemap on GSC, Also share the links on social media platforms, Maybe the link gets indexed within 1 or 2 days.

SEO is about quality ( content which adds value to your visitors, here number of words is not important ) not quantity ( not number of words )

No, don't do it, not good for SEO

If you give important for quality, then the indexing speed will be automatically good, you don't need any tool for indexing it fast.

Well Said!

Having 2000+ words of a high-quality Handwritten article with relevant keywords might rank your site faster. Try to bring more visitors to your site by creating backlinks. Generate a site map to index your site quickly.

Is it possible to create a sitemap for sites.google?

site.google pages do still rank, but personally I've not found them to rank any higher (or lower) than any other page i.e. they don't seem to get preferrential treatment. They did way-way back, but not in recent years. So, from a ranking perspective, don't expect a site.google page to give you any boost. But, it won't hurt either...and is a free option in terms of hosting...so is still useful.

Regarding content, rather than looking at it from a x number of words perspective, try to think of it from a 'am I giving value to my visitors' perspective. At the end of the day, that's what Google are wanting you to do...and will reward you if you do. And so that includes using original content rather than copy/paste from elsewhere.

Indexing, and ranking, still comes down to the basics of good SEO i.e. identiftying your target keywords, writing (original) content using those keywords, getting (authority) backlinks to your pages, social signals etc. And even then it's still not a 'sure thing' but will definitely improve your chances.

Google favors their own platforms, yes still working great. You don't have to worry about penalizing your money site so you can use lower quality backlinks

Yes you can. there are two types : xml(only URL zones) and html
Url/sitemap.xml
try this.
Thanks, I have now written my own post and will publish it with sites.google.
I will add a few social signals and apply to gsc for indexing (i also add a sitemaps)

If it is google sites the OP is referring to, G-sites do not use sitemaps, so that suggestion is useless.

I think the problem with g-sites in recent months is that google realized persons were spamming that platform to death. They have strengthened the indexing to weed out those types of spam sites and also weak content.
