It is possible as long as you ensure yout social signals are legit and powerful.. Ranking any competitive KW with just social signals is possible. We can find tons of examples from the history. It is one of the ever-active tactics of Google that we use to get our sites ranked.

One of my blogs with 70+ high quality long articles and silo structure is ranking at top 50-100 for low to medium competitive and low to medium search volume keywords with any backlink (didn't send any social signal too). So, yes it works but I am sure I would need link push to send them to the top along with better onpage optimization.

Yeah definitely works. I don’t even use social signals. The most important thing of course is the keyword difficulty.
Low competition keywords go to top 3 without links easily. I also have a lot of snippets without any links.

This is extremely hard and not profitable by any means, unless you target a blue ocean, which every day seems to be a step harder.
If you don't have the budget to buy good links or to build your own PBN, you need at least to stack your own sites with some cheap different IP per site, and a good amount of patience.

Why not put in the effort and build BL's? Listen quality content and social shares will always wind up earning you BL's anyways

"Ranking the sites without link building is obviously possible as all of us know. EOD eats a lot of your time and efforts, but the results are not worth that. I hope all of us are not here to do the research only, our ultimate goal is to make high money with low efforts and time. So just go for link building and get the benefits soon.

Yes in short, but it depends on each niche. Few backlinks will make your goal easier.
