I have a website in "News" niche. I generate a lot of traffic but majorly through social media. But very less amount of organic traffic is there. I need to rank to get a lot of traffic organically. Now the question arise that if I want to rank on a keyword like a https://tanishsharma.com/world-news. What should be the strategy to achieve that.

IMHO, you should shoot for a long tail keyword in your niche

"world news" is too ambitious of a target (FOR NOW) since you're competing against the likes of BBC, AP, AFP, etc etc

Dominate your long-tail news niche then scale up to more ambitious targets

NICHE targeting is crucial in the niche news biz since news is pretty 'generic' - I suggest you REVERSE ENGINEER dailykos, dailywire, theblaze, zerohedge and similar sites

They are smaller but they have very loyal audiences

Your occupation is SEO and you do not know basics of SEO.

You are just copying news from other websites and not even giving credit to original source.

So good luck ranking copied content.

To improve traffic organically first you need to build site trust, as “news site” content to be valuable and informative to user, proper usage of keyword in possible place, and frequent update about trending topics and perfect on page optimization. Be active on social media and add relevant and authority backlinks.

You should build your brand first through social media, also give news updates frequently. Write about trending topics that might help you.

1.Narrow down to a long tail keyword in your niche because "news" is a generic term and you have to battle against high authority sites like BBC,CNN, Fox.
2.Work around the longtail keyword with good content,proper placement and usage of keywords.
3.Decent on page seo and regular updates on your content and covering viral keywords.
4.Good and relevant baclinks does the work!
