Ranking higher than NYT using their own content?

I'm using NYT here just for the sake of argument. I've set up a blog about some content (5 KW targeted) from the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. 67 posts/reviews, bio, scripts, interviews and so from big guns like NYT, LA Times and even Rolling Stone.

Also, content from some deceased/defunct media/mags.

11 of my posts rank #1 page using scraped content from them. Internet Archives and some others web archives are my tools. It's not big money yet... About 35-45 USD for week. It's a recent project and I'm waiting to see what happens.

Except from H1... Titles... Everything got scrapped. Nothing new. Few, pretty few cloaking...

I'm thinking about set up more blogs following those steps for more KW and some other niche. But here's my question: do you think I'm safe or its just a matter of time to be axed?

I'm using expired domain. Decent CF/TF.
