Alexa is useless bro. Focus on your bottom line such as $$$$$ and conversion rates.

Yes Alexa is pretty useless... Just focus on profit and visitors. Nothing else imo

Alexa works if you are seller at flippa. Makes you look like your site worth something. But at the end of the day it's nothing in terms of value.

How much dollars does your site make?? thats what is important.

Na i have google analytics, it's just that a google chrome addon that tells me the alexa and compete rank real quick and makes it convenient for me to see if I'm climbing or falling. Also it matters to me because like imperial mentioned, I plan on selling it at flippa eventually. I also use alexa to keep track of new backlinks registered on there and compare the # of them with competitors and also steal their backlinks, i noticed that some of these links are high in PR.

I was ranked 16.5 million on the 7th of this month, I am now ranked at 2,065,000 million and 166k in the US....which correlates pretty accurately with my Analytics results..i've had an avg of 15-20 visitors a day a month ago, now I have 40-50. My conversions are slightly better but could be MUCH better, I will fix that as soon as I get some more income in order to make a few major changes I believe will give me much more conversions. Bounce rate is at 48% but I know it could be much lower, it's just the patience thing I gotta deal with.

Stop with this Alexa rubbish. Even if you want to use it for Flipping, you can just game it by bot traffic. It's beyond useless. All that counts are your SERP positions, that's how you get targeted organic traffic. Where your keywords are ranking is the only thing that matters as far as organic traffic is concerned. Once you have it, you can worry about split testing for better conversions lowering your bounce rate etc. Without rank, you have nothing as far as SEO.

Thought I'd update...far as alexa goes im 1 million 20k now. i've found that pinterest is VERY effective and u can rank 1st for a lot of keywords.ive focused on that and blogging and ive went from selling 1-2 product a month on avg to selling 2 a day on avg, pretty excited. Traffic averaged 30-40 a day, but a month after I went all out on my marketing, it's now averaging about 160-220 a day.

Yea but in my case around that time it actually helped me...couple days ago I was making about 2-3, even 4 on some days, today was a record day, 6 sales. Feelin positive.....n my overall goal was 5 sales a day.....after 6 months of working on site, and it's only been 2 months I've already surpassed it=D
