May someone tell me why it is important to have a SSL cert for your website in regards to ranking? or does SSL means something different?

I want to know the same. May be SSL makes your website look more authority?
I don't think it's a google factor, since https makes ur site load slower.
But defenitly trust, most sites like paypal,ebay,facebook etc have SSL, so for the average user it will make them trust the site more, I think.

It's only the main anchor and two long tails.
Like:

how to train a dog to shake your hand
Some generics are being added (around 4%) for some reason although it's disabled.
That's not really much, I had a point where my project had 6 million links on ahrefs, but that was back in November 2013 and a lot of the pages are dying, so I think it's at 3 million now.

Amazing for #3 but I doubt if it will stick a good rank for a long time..
I will just look forward for #1 since it looks like a long term one (authority links+social signals) but we will never know..
