This is going to be a case study over the next 90 days to see what works after Penguin 3.0. A lot of people have been complaining their sites have been hit and SEO is dead; if your site was hit, you're doing something wrong.

Study #1 - Authority Links + Social Signals

I'm going to be using the NUKE package on Authority+ and testing this out. We're going to be using a fresh .org domain with SSL and no previous backlink profile.

Rankings will be updated in future posts.

Study #2 - Only Social Signals

We're going to drip the following every day to the site (new, .org with SSL also):

500 Google +1's
10,000 Twitter Tweets
1,000 Facebook Shares
500 LinkedIn Shares
250 Pinterest Pins

Study #3 - 250,000 Links Daily - Churn n' Burn

For this, we're going to have a new .org domain with SSL as well. Going to be blasting 250,000 verified links (not submitted, it's going to stop when it reaches 250,000 links and restart daily).

Study #4 - 250,000 Links Daily - Link Shortener

For this, we're going to use the same strategy as above, but we're going to be tunneling the links to a link shortener which leads to the money site.

Study #5 - Tiered Link Building

For this one, we're going to blast 250,000 links a day (verified) to 5 web 2.0's with hand written content that point to the money site. Each will get around 50,000 verified links a day.

Hey nullfo,

thanks for making those five case studies. That's one of the main reasons I'm here on BHW!

I'm extremely curious about the results. Just one question... the 250k links... which are they? A mix of many different links? Do you build them with gsa?

warm regards,

This is going to be a fantastic thread I can tell. I have subscribed to this thread and I look forward to viewing the results

Study #3 - 250,000 Links Daily - Churn n' Burn

well i am not churning as many links as you are , but i can confirm this shit still works and will keep working .
i started my campaign around 16th and i am already getting 30-50 hits from google daily .
most of the keywords are already in top 50 .

and subscribed .

Hosted on namecheap, dedicated IP.

2500 words of unique handwritten content (did it myself) on each site. Domain structure is:

Keyword-now.org
Keyword-fast.org
Keyword-yes.org

Awesome that you want to share your findings with us! I'm about to do something similar myself with some of the same strategies and a few other. Will let you know how it turns out.

I take it you're doing this on the same keyword and the keyword density in your content is similar?

all of your mentioned methods seems to be like churn an burn. for instance thee websites will get ranking in 2-3 weeks on targeted keywords with these very aggressive strategies but the point is sustainability. there must be another traditional SEO strategy to be added along other strategies to compare with them in the long run. wish you all the best. thread subscribed.. Lets see...!!!

You didn't tell us anything about your onpage SEO setup - how many pages, type of content, etc..

Onpage for all pages is the same except for meta desc, same KW density.
One page, one post of 2500 words I wrote myself, as stated above.

Huehuehuehuehue. This should be awesome. You've got a subscriber!
