You can't beat empirical evidence in the quest to know what is really happening. I have subscribed and will be watching this experiment with keen interest.

Besides Case #5, in the rest you are building links directly to the site since day 1 , right ? Bookmarked

It would be interesting to see how the ranking depends on tier2 link targets as well as the quality of tier2/tier 3 content.

Provided you Have all the resouces, you will not have any trouble... Its just a Case study, Where one person takes actions and others will watch what happens.

I like the logic behind this approach. I will follow closely and see what you are achieving.

Are all scenarios more or less within the same niche and if you are building them on the same paltform in order to rule out onpage factors?
