So I have an authority site with 40 articles and building. The niche is rather competitive. So I decided to just rank on long tails for now. Each article is written for a long tail. I made a few web 2s and back linked them with GSA Ser. The web 2s are only linking to 3 of my articles at the moment. Those are the only keywords actually ranking for me in google now. So my question is in order to rank all my longtails, will I need to back link them in the web 2s individually? That is, pretty much write an extra article for each article I already have. I guess I could link multiple times to different articles in the web2 posts, but I thought that might look a little unnatural/overdoing it.
The other question is since I'm only trying to rank for longtails, I pretty much skipped trying to rank for a few main keywords. Bad? When ranking for these main keywords, should I just link to the main index with keyworded anchor text?
Thanks a lot.
