Ranking Amazon Niche site with PBN quick question

Hi,
I'm having some moderate success on two amazon niche site using my PBN but I've been kind of linking from my pbn quite randomly, so my question is about anchor text and inner pages vs homepage.

1/ Should I link 30% to homepage and then scatterd to different sub niche that I target?

Now I have another question : when I launch an amazon niche site I tend to want to take it all, that is target different subniches as well. If my niche is toasters for example, I feel compelled to go for electric toasters and oven toasters. Is it a good strategy or should I focus only on one main target.

Hope my question is clear.

I think it's always difficult to put specific percentages on what number of links should go to homepage vs internal pages. Best advice is probably to take a look at your competition and see roughly what their percentage is - then work to something similar. Make the linking natural, so only link to an internal page if you have made the article on your PBN relevant. Don't force it simply to get a link to the internal page.

Regarding your approach to sub niches, I think that is fine. Targeting sub niches still reinforces your site's authority within the overall niche and allows you to get more targeted traffic. I would say keep doing what you're doing.
 
Electric toasters and other toasters are all part of a same niche. You'll be fine. If you expand into books, music, etc, then you'll be spreading too thin and it'll cost you $$$ to promote.

About linking : you shouldn't be linking too much to your site from your PBN. Links to the home page are especially suspicious. You risk losing this PBN if you're linking more than a couple of times from a single site, especially to the HP.

is it better to only do a smaller niche and dedicate whole website to that niche

or

make a site without a certain niche just doing reviews on all kinds of products? :)

It'll be cheaper to market the smaller niche site. The more products, the more niches, the more expensive it becomes to market your site and make it known.

Marketing is about targetting. 10 well targetted emails can sell more than a million email blast.
 
Thanks for your replies. I'll try to see what I can do which is basically link to HP and innnerpages as well. I like the idea to make the link to the innerpage relevant to the article in the PBN.

+1 for this. Google monitors your sites OBL footprint, for things like:
- higher than average money term anchors used.
- higher than average linking to a particular domain.

The best way to avoid this, is to have "resource" pages, that are niche relevant, and link with url anchors to multiple authority pages on the general topic.
