Ranking 10 domains for the same 10 keywords?

Hey guys,

Any help would be much appreciated. I am trying to rank for the same 10 keywords with 10 different domains.

Either doing it manually or using services available in the marketplace, what do you guys recommend?

My thoughts were to create 10 articles each for each website, then create web 2.0 profiles, but I am stuck after that. I'm having a problem understanding how to work a tiered system with this.

Hmmm, never thought about this... You could create ten sites rank each site for the same keywords and completely own the front page of Google meaning you basically own the niche/keyword. Could be great profit if you can figure out how to rank them all on the first page.
 
You can definitely do that. You'll probably be banking hard if you successfully rank are your 10 websites to the top 10 for the exact same keywords. Marketplace threads are great way to improve your serps.

lol. sorry I don't mean to sound that naive. I am well aware that this is not a groundbreaking thought. I am trying to protect some keywords containing my name for reputation purposes and to practice some SEO.

I wasn't being sarcastic it was actually a very good idea you had, I just started building a website a couple months ago and you just gave me an idea.

Do you have any suggestions for how to create a tiered link system?
 
I like this idea. Competing against yourself is a win win situation. Even if you only got 4 or 5 of them on the first page you'd still be making some good money. You could also use different backlink services/strategies for each one so during google updates you would have a lot less risk of losing everything.

I think competing against yourself would be a lot smarter than it sounds.
 
I usually do this but not 10 domains usually like 3 or 4 but only once I have established whether or not it will be worth my while. So if I start ranking in position 1 and its not as profitable as I thought it would be I just move on but if im banking hard then im gona make sure I take up some room on that first page lol
 
I'd agree with herpderpslerp, if you want to go that route, mix up the domain and hosting registrations. Can they figure it out even with the relative anonymity? Of course, but you don't have to make it easy for them. The question is whether they care about your keywords. I would also advise against making dupe sites with the same themes. Mix it up a bit, then start ranking. Let us know how you did it.
 
If it's for reputation management purposes, use some web 2.0's as well for some of those 10 spots - they'll be easier to rank than normal websites and can take more spammy backlinks. Facebook, Youtube and I've heard Rebel Mouse rank fairly well.
 
I've successfully attempted this before, just make sure to use alternative strategies for each site.

Be aware of also spreading your SEO efforts too thin and make sure you have the budget to support this strategy.

As for the Web 2.0 sites, how do you target a keyword with web 2.0 sites?

Also, these are basically to rank for my name + keyword. How much content do I need per site and what is a good way to do linking? Do I push links to those pages with the specific keyword targeted or do I push to the main domain?
 
You better be an expert at hiding your ID online....if any of those 10 domains are profiled and determined to belong to you, it's gonna be a carpet ban for all 10 domains.... The biggest challenge here is to hide the identity of the owner of those 10 domains.

Is private registration good? Or do I have to just use different registrars?

Diversify all you can. Private registration is good, but also diversify the registrars....real networks don't all come from the same host / registrar / owners....it's expensive and it's a lot of work to get a proper network in place.
 
good luck.... you have to do some serious time and attention to each of them because over the last 5 years i bought about 300 domains for one niche targeting same keyword and only had 3 maybe 4 with places on the first page
 
It's about the type of websites ranked these days, so each of those 10 sites needs to be different. Depending on the terms, you might have Yahoo Answers/Youtube/Facebook page ranking as well, so look at what's ranking right now and start from there.

Also - ranking 10 sites for a keyword, why not rank each site for a different keyword in top 3 instead?
