Ranking #1 on Google, the different ways

There are so many things you can rank high on google with.
And I want to start a little discussion about it.

You can do SEO to rank on google with:
* your website
* someone elses website, using their authority (yahoo answers, google profiles, ect)
* youtube videos
* video landing page (your site)
* articles

There are so many ways, what is your favorite and why? Why did you chose it?

If you had an awesome video, would you try ranking it on youtube. Or would you make a video landing page and rank it high? ect. There are so many ways.

I was going to submit a video to youtube, now I thought about trying to make it rank on google for a particular keyword instead of just getting traffic from youtube. whaaa, so many things you can do.

Building a website around one KW works great for me.
 
Why not dominate the whole TOP10 with your site, 3rd party pages/blogs, and videos with links to your site, if the keyword is not too competitive?
 
all you need is a longtail, a web 2.0 property + some links. 1st of google guranteed.
 
One of the reasons I really dig BHW is the fact that noobs can post and get input from others on strategies that are working for them. You guys are great :)
 
I agree with Kekuda - LinkWheel and bookmark the hell out of it. Add fresh content a week after and bookmark again.

a wheel with 7 spokes are all connected the the rim itself which connect all the sporks but all the spokes lead to the center which is your center cap. Thus the spokes are web 2.0 properties and articles all linking to one another like the rim but all the websites lead to the center cap which is your main website/money page. I should create a real rim diagram lmao.

MU is Wordpress MU is also one of the linkwheel strategies. WP MU also known as web 2.0. Find from download page, you'll see this ebook.
 
Wordpress MU allows users to create new blogs within your blog.....so essentially it could be a low end link wheel of sorts and your would get ton of backlinks if you place a wordpress autoposter on each one.
 
Linkwheels and Social Bookmarks are amazing for quick instant traffic. Be sure to ping all the URLs for instant search and traffic results.

I am working on link wheel metod for almost two weeks . I already get some visitors from it. I think this is great method.

Linkwheel is a very old spoke and hub setup from back in the portal days. Basically site A links to B, then B to C and so on in a wheel then A, B, C, D etc all link to a "hub" site in the middle.

Just for laughs i looked up the first "linkwheel" i remember joining back in the late 1990's to game AltaVista and it still exists:

Check the instructions, lol funny days and lots of memories. They still work to a degree, but there's much better/easier ways to link and channel juice.
