You have to tell about your hosting Your setting in GSC.If you are from India and you are promoting it from social media like Facebook and youtube means you will get Indian visitors only.

You should get backlinks from US targetted sites?
 
You need to do more work brah :)

If possible target keywords with local city name or other things..
If keywords are Short then it sure requires a lot work.
 
If you are trying ads target US audience in social medias and it will helpful getting traffic. Get more backlinks from targeted locations.
 
You have to increase exposure of your site, Try to promote it in country based pages, optimize the content according. And also check with above said.
 
Use US hosting and create backlinks from US based websites.

Also, try to get tier-1 traffic from US based groups / social media platforms.
 
GSC has a setting to choose preferred country. Go to GSC and select USA. Your site ranks where your potential audience are coming from. If your site is ranking in India, then you are meeting with their search requirements. You should target keywords that the audience from USA are search for, to rank there. Moreover, site relevance is also important. If your language settings and backlinks are coming from India, then Google assumes that you are catering to Indian audience. The last thing is that the same keywords might have high competition in USA and low comp in India, so you are able to rank here easily. In that case, you may lose rankings if you change the country. There are a lot of factors affecting rankings and it can't be easily explained.
 
For me it is not possible but it will be possible if you work hard on it. Target the keyword make the quality content. Make it as a process in social media then it will be possible Paul... Better luck :)

Can't find country setting in current GSC version, googled for it, but it seems such setting was available in older GSC version. Could you please double check?
 
One of the factors that affects this is the hosting location that you are using. If you are using a hosting with servers in India, it will not help.

He is already ranking in India and this means that he is doing these things right already. He asked for tips to rank in US specifically.
 
Hosting location would matter. If your goal is to rank in the US you had to have US based hosting.
