I've been using the rank tracker in seo powersuite to track a MNS of mine for a month or so and everything has been going fine until today.

I checked it today and it said I don't rank in the top 100 results. I then changed the search range to 150 and it again came back with no ranking. I then changed it to 200 results and checked, then it said I ranked 50? I hit "check rankings" again and the result was 132. I hit "check rankings" again and it came back with 158. What is going on here?

Do any other users of this program have this problem? Is it a proxy issue? I've been checking with this tool every day for many weeks, does this mean all my old data is bad too? Any insight you all may have would be much appreciated.

Oh, BTW, I'm only checking US google results.

I think a lot of rank checkers are having this issue. There are some out there that work or have mostly accurate results, but I've noticed, when checking with various checkers that they all seem to be different and give different positions each time.

I'm using rank tracker for all of my sites and I've noticed that's it's accurate for me. Don't know why you're all over the place though, all of my sites are aged though.

Maybe rank tracker is getting different results from different G servers and right now the site is ranking differently on each G server.

Proxies could be the problem if they are from another country.

    How old is your site?

    Just my .02 though.

I've noticed that to an extent, but when I was deciding on a rank checker to use I checked rank with TrafficTravis, Rank Tracker, A website that checks for you on it's own, and actually searching on google. They all agreed within 2 positions so since then I've just been using Rank Tracker because you can easily search high into the serps with the free version.

The site in question is about 6wks old.

My proxies are US and I'm in the US.

While looking into this I did find a lot of people talking about Rank Tracker getting results from different G servers. This makes the most sense since my serp rank has been steadily rising a little each day until now. I've recently kicked my linkbuilding into high gear for this site so I could see how different servers would have different amounts of links indexed and calculated in resulting in different ranks. It just seems odd that the results would be so wildly different.

Thanks a lot for the responses guys!
