Rank drop after running a link building campaign

I got about 20 quality guest posts for my site, which is about 5 years old, and linked exactly the keyword to my target page.
After these guest posts were indexed, my rank dropped.
This was the opposite of what I expected.
Is it possible that my rank will return and be even better than before the publication of this guest post?
What do you think is the reason for this drop?
The quality of the guest posts was really good and the sites were strong.

How old is the post you linked them to? Could be bad timing. The chances that those guest posts lowered your ranking is slim to none unless they are extremely poor backlinks. Give it a month or so, your likely just dancing and not due to the guest posts.

its a common thing, when doing link building you have to do it slowly

People giving him high hopes are either ignorant or deceptive, he built 20 links at ONCE to a website that wasn't getting links a week ago. That's quite spammy, unless it's cnn, Washington post or others, you're not coming back to ur positions ever if you don't do something new

Wait!

If you are going to react to each serp movement, you are f***ed...

You study the competitor, put a plan, execute it and ignore the instant effects completely. It might take weeks to settle

It might be due to competitors or anchor text over optimization.

It could be those links but you never know unless you give it time
Did you buy them from BHW marketplace?

Wait some more time before coming to conclusion. It can be Google dance.

Did anyone not see "linked exactly the keyword" in the OP?

Yes building 20 links fast could be a factor.

But if the anchors of all of these 20 links are all exactly "My Target Keyword", without variation, then I'd me more concerned about anchor optimisation

Bro try to update your content and optimized content with "Top queries" from GSC.

I hope you see some good movement in SERP

Its means google dancing, be patient focus on quality links, you rank it will be back soon.
