I got about 20 quality guest posts for my site, which is about 5 years old, and linked exactly the keyword to my target page.
After these guest posts were indexed, my rank dropped.
This was the opposite of what I expected.
Is it possible that my rank will return and be even better than before the publication of this guest post?
What do you think is the reason for this drop?
The quality of the guest posts was really good and the sites were strong.

Maybe it's just a dance and u get back to your ranking

Can be many reason. Maybe not even link fault as SERP always go up/down. Maybe competitor also did work on promote its site.
Is possible that just temp and rank will go up soon. How long ago you set new link? Maybe just give time

so, 100% exact match anchors??

only if you've not abused the anchors... I also suspect building all links at once could be a reason...

Probably a serp dance, wait some days ans report back the final results.

There's always a storm before the calm in the case of SERPs, mate. Your positions should be back.

I submitted these links two or three days ago and they were all indexed. I am sure that the reason for this drop was because of these guest posts. But I don't know if it will come back and my rank will be even better than before or if it will be a permanent drop.

Is not enough time to say. Nobody will have exact answer to this. You have to give time and see )

Maybe anchors are not matched or links are broken.

It's may be google dancing. Please be patient, it will return to rank up.
Have you had this exact experience?
I mean exactly that you will drop in the beginning but after a short period of time you will have more growth than before.

Your rankings are not coming back.

Unless it's you brand name or domain naked url why would someone link to you multiple times with same anchor text? Think about it. Fix it if you can.

Did you buy these links from here? your website will never go back to its original ranking, that was my experience, and if you ever bought the monthly PBN links from some popular sellers on the forum, then kiss your money site BYE BYE. They will do whatever to hurt your ranking!
I myself don't care anymore, as I'm in an industry that get sales from word of mouth, and repeat orders from wholesalers. But again, be careful.

Yes, you need to be patient and focus on building links in quality niches.

Most probably its the case of Google dance. Give it 3-4 days if you have built them on Real Established Websites then your rankings should Return to better places.
But even with the best links, you should not go beyond 1-2% of main keywords.
