Raising Money on Kickstarter?

This just shows that with a great idea you can get 15 times what you needed to initially fund your project. This isn't a guarantee if your idea is presented and interpreted as innovative as these guys presented you will have remaining cash flow.

In the case of the Pebble I am amazed that they can get away with 1.4m+ after funding it.


Do the people get to keep the money that bypasses their goal or does it go to Kickstarter?

If they get to keep the 1.4m+, or whatever number their funding escalates to they are a perfect example of dreams turning into a success without the need for greedy corporations to take a percentage and tell you how to create things.

If they promote this correctly this could turn into something very mainstream.

Just to add this in I edited this page 3 times throughout spending 5 minutes writing this and the number increased to $1,499,748

Woah, refreshed after writing this line and it went up to $1,500,103 and again to $1,500,343...

As you can see I wrote 10 words and they get another $200.00+ in funding. I can't go on for the next 36 days so if anyone wants to they can do it themselves I have to go to sleep.

To anyone that thinks they have a good idea, go on Kickstarter and publish something and who knows you might get 15+ times what you thought like these guys or it could turn into something you have to rethink to bring more people's attention to make your dream a reality.

Saying they get 200.00+ every 10 seconds it's now $1,501,438 as of the last refresh they might end up with over 2.5 million if the hype ever calms, if it doesn't well i'm sure you can figure it out.

Either way you will see them on TV in June, so you might as well be an early bird and write a trending article.

PS: I had to throw this in, they are making an app store so maybe it is something any software developers could look into a year from now.

This is starting to make me think that money is fake, but I have to understand it is real.

The funding bumped to $1,507,542 from whatever number is at the top of this post in like 10 minutes!

Now the money goes up 100+ before I can even copy and paste it I am getting tired now.

Never considered it....I had a gig up on MyCheapJobs and was charging people $50 to do a social media blast on their kickstarter project...that included 700+ likes to their kickstarter project page.

Some tips:

1. Make the video interesting as hell.
2. BUY FB LIKES or get those likes in there in any way that you can. You need at least 700. That is how kickstarter determines who gets top billing in any category
3. Updates. Update daily if you can.
