I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer for me. I have a large mailing list that I want to manage from home using some email management software. However my ISP has a limit on how many emails can be sent per day through SMTP.

The software I am using has a virtual SMTP server that I can use. However my ISP also prohibits connecting to port 25 through any SMTP server that is not their own. However the software does have a place that allows me to input a proxy. My questions are:

1. Would using a proxy solve this problem for me? My best guess is that I would then be subject to whatever SMTP limitations are in place for the ISP the proxy is on.

2. Would using a VPN solve this problem for me? Are there any limitations on SMTP connections with a VPN?

3. Can anyone recommend a good VPN that doesn't prohibit connections to port 25?

4. Any other suggestions. (please don't suggest using a service like aweber etc.)
