Some questions around internal linking -

1. Can inter linking lead to search rank improvement?
2. Is it ok to have numerous pages, some even with little traffic link to a central / pillar page?
3. Should a higher authority page almost never link to a lower authority page?
4. Any other insights you might have noticed about the impact of internal linking.

Short and sweet interlink is good, use Yoast SEO or Link whisper to do it, both premium version available here thanks to Wordpress god courtesy @Festinger

i think it has, tested it myself.
I would like to know more on safe anchor ration of internal links, are there any rules ? SO far I am only doing exact match //

Yes, It’s True Internal linking improves search engine ranking.

When we create so many pages or post on our website then interlink each other via Anchor but use anchors our keyword because they push search engine ranking.

And interlinking pass link juice/credit.

3. The higher the domain authority is of a site, the more you can receive more traffic for your website. Moreover, it also increases the chance of search engine ranking.
4. Poor internal linking can impact your site. It providers undesirable experiences for your audience. It happens when you delete a web page, or you migrate one.

Internal links passes link juice on your sites inner pages. If you give without any error it will help to increase your rankings too.
