I have some money in there, just around $150, on Metamask. Does the value of this coin never changes and always stays tied to USD? And what would you do with it at this current time, Hodl, swap, liquidate?

It's a stable coin
It should always be equal to USD
I use it to pay people in USDC .
By the way, yesterday I checked the gas fees to send USDC from Metamask to a wallet and it was like $1, but gas fees from Kucoin to Metamask were like $5.

Explanation? Any solution to have fees lower than $5?

It never changes and always stays tied to USD.
Gas fees is low comparing to old days, you can consider liquidating. :)
Fees are lower because of ETH 2.0?
And see question above, $5 fee is pretty high I think to send $7 from Kucoin to Metamask.

USDC is one of best stable coin, it will not crash like UST. So you can hold as long as you want

Depends really
late last month, I was sending payments of ~300 USDC and network fees were under $2 (Trust to whatever the wallet these people had, I have no idea, im assuming its either Trust or Meta)
It's probably kucoin trying take a bag out of it probs

Ah yes makes sense. Thanks.

USDC is part of the so-called Stablecoins, these are cryptos that do not change their value over time and are tied to a value of 1USDC =1$, there are also other examples such as USDT, these are quite reliable and it is always good to have a small amount in case you need to make any digital purchase.

USDC is one of the best stable coins out there. Would totally recommend it
It's price is so stable while USDT dropped once to $0.94

I would use USDP - Backed by gold 100% (I think the reserves are higher than 100% of the coins issued)

why not just use BUSD lol?
BUSD is 100% backed by reserves held in either or both (i) fiat cash in dedicated omnibus accounts at insured U.S. banks and/or (ii) U.S. Treasury bills (including through repurchase agreements and/or money-market funds invested in U.S. Treasury bills).

Ontop, Binance USD (BUSD) is a new USD-denominated stablecoin approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) that will be launched in partnership with Paxos and Binance.

I guess could be another option. :)

You could spread your funds between several stablecoins in case one of them goes UST way :D

If you want it to increase change it to coin like bnb whole value will increase with time.

USDC is the best stable coin out there, no need to worry about your money.

I keep hearing from Tiktok influencers that USDC is 'more solid than Tether'

If you agree with this, can anyone post why we should believe this claim.

Most experienced crypto investors are probably already aware of USDT's issues (For a refresher see vid:
), but how does USDC stack up?
